lemme check... i did keep the uppers in really good condition, so that's why the minimal creasing in the shoe and the small blemishes on the toe stood out, there really wasn't much else wrong with the shoe besides the soles, which are brand new now. don't need a before and after for that lol... lemme check and see if i have anything. the stitching was cleaned up as well, but ya, i guess its just my word.

brb, i'll go see what i have

This was after a recondition/polish at least a couple months ago. Creasing noticeably more in that right shoe. Also that blemish on the toe looks a fair amount better

still looking...

The brown cordovans are obviously and easily my favorite shoe. The color of that brown is just gorgeous, and the different colors in the different panels is something i love about them.

Go, now.

i'm actually really surprised to hear both these comments. he's always been incredibly helpful and patient. even promises to call me whenever the get rare shells in to give me dibs. gave me a 25% discount on my next purchase one time when a pair was damaged and the last one in my size. free shoe horn today. he literally treats me like a king.

to your first point, sure but that's with ANYWHERE that sells Alden's, especially shells. that's just the nature of the product. as far as Leffot, Steven is wonderful... a genuinely kind guy that will sit there and let you talk his ear. i will say, Collin is an idiot and needs to be fired.

he treats you like a king ... because you spent money at his store
my other friend who has bought several pairs of shoes from Bryan has said the same thing... Bryan was kind of a dick to him... until he purchased a pair of aldens
now he gets hooked up with discounts on every purchase
i think he has made 3 purchases from leatherxsoul so far

Despite my prior experience, I'm considering putting a deposit down on a pair (or two ) of Aldens that they have listed right now. The CXL Wingtip for sure, and maybe the Pitt Boot or #8 Shortwing. Gotta go get sized at a local place that sells Aldens, I guess....

No, that's absolutely not the case with every place that sells Aldens, and I can say that from experience emailing a good portion of the well-known Alden retailers.

Both are great places to buy...if you wear size 7 to 9.5 and are a D width. Go create a fake email account and email those guys about getting an 11EEE.

Also, it's incredible how certain places will happily accommodate orders for special widths, while LS and Leffot make it seem like Alden will cancel their contracts if anybody even mentions an E.

Go, now.

I'm redoing a lot of my wardrobe this year (selling a lot) to re-tool for wearing more suits. The cordovan strands will be part of that process.

Well, I've searched for things to do in Orlando and I've come up with a short list:

1. Go to a chain restaurant
2. Go to a theme park
3. Go to a "premium" outlet mall

After much thought (tic), I think I'll go walk around this supposed premium outlet mall and see if there's any thing to be had on the cheap, lol.

330ck can tell you whether that outlet is worth the time
Probably not because I'd imagine it is a very touristy place

This entire city is a touristy place, lol. I have yet to see a non-chain restaurant. I just need to get out of the resort as I'm feeling pretty couped up after 4 days of attorney conference mumbo-jumbo.

Well, I went to the Premium Outlets in Orlando. I walked into the following stores:

Tumi
Tag Heuer
Prada
Coach (both men and women)
J. Crew
Banana Republic
Adidas
Cole Haan
Movado

I walked away with a 6 pairs of socks and a running sweatshirt (stretchy fabric with thumbholes) from Adidas. Nothing else was really a bargain, in my opinion.

On a side note, this place is a total pit of hell if you're not less than 8 years old. I give my parents huge kudos for bringing me here as a kid. I would have to be drunk a LOT.

My 700-plus Facebook friends don't appreciate that statement. My two real-life friends may have a different opinion--I haven't spoken to them in a while.
