I just got an email ad from cheaper than dirt saying most all mags were back in stock. Except many mags are sold out already and priced closer to dirt that has gold in it.

sent from my ATARI sc1224

They cancel my order for factory Glock 33 rounds @ $41.80 and restock Korean mags @ $79.99 each.

$699 for an AR 100 round Beta Mag.

It appears they have over 1000 PMags @ $40 each if you really need some...

Between 20-50 would be ok. Then a couple thousand rounds of plinking ammo and a dozen thousand of green tip. You can't predict how many zombies will come.

Makes me wonder which ones are shipping - I had $20 pmags on order since 12/26 - but they were saying they were available @ $40 a pop today?

It's bullshit. They're pulling some shenanigans....

Thoughts on long vs. short barrel? Between the two sizes below I am trying to come up with pros and cons for each. Both are DD.

Trying to make a decision on which one to get. I originally was going for the longer of the two, but for some reason now I am contemplating if the shorter might be good to have also.

Do you have a registered SBR? or do you want to go through the NFA process? If it's your only AR i'd probably lean towards 16", it's a lot easier to take it out of state and travel with too.

Always get a 16" upper first, but after that go ahead and get an SBR. Personally, I love my 11.5" and it's my favorite rifle. The rifle is ridiculously reliable and durable (which is mainly because of the high quality components, including a DD barrel and gas block). 11.5" is the ideal SBR length IMO. It's as short as you can get and still have it be consistently reliable. 10.3/10.5" uppers are sometimes good, and sometimes problematic, but 11.5" ones are generally all pretty good. Obviously, manufacturer and components make the difference across the board.

In terms of which one is more advantageous, it's all subjective to what you want it for. For CQB use and closer range training (inside 100yds), the 11.5" really excels. When traveling with an SBR, you have to be aware of where you are going since some states ban them. In contrast, the 16" is legal everywhere, and they tend to be a little bit more accurate at longer range due to the higher velocities produced (makes no difference inside 100yds though, it's not generally any quantifiable difference). The 16" barrels aren't as loud either.

Question. Regarding the safe act, what is the impact on existing gun owners.

So David lives in NY and has "a bunch of guns". Say he owns high capacity rounds, AR15s, and other guns. As a result of that law, he must do..... what?

Is it that he can no longer buy those type of weapons so long as he's an NY resident? Or does he also have to sell off any rifle he owns that is defined as a "military style assault rifle"? Does he also have to sell off all his high cap magazines?

I ask because O'Malley here in MD is pushing VERY hard for restrictions and is doing so in an unfortunately liberal state.

Its going to depend on the proposal whether they force people to sell off guns/mags or grandfather what you own in.
Omalley is a focking piece of shit and idiot. But unfortunately for us when we went on a fishing trip together yesterday and the boat capsized all of our scary guns and standard capacity magazines went overboard and are sitting at the bottom of the Chesapeake bay right now.

Well, hold the phone. In my situation, I have dual residency in NY and FL. My ARs are all in FL, and none of them would qualify to go to NY under the old law or the new. I was planning on building one for there, but that's out now.

Under the law, residents of NY who have banned weapons (under the new law) in NY have to register all assault weapons with the state. They do not need to sell them. The magazines, on the other hand, are a different matter. They are giving residents a year to sell them out of state; after that, it's a crime. Though it is a misdemeanor and I'd be disinclined to comply with it.

I've gone through my list of weapons I currently have in NY and I think I'm in compliance. The pistols aren't there and the only rifle with any appreciable capacity (the Winchester 94) is exempted as a lever action.

As for Maryland, I can't urge strongly enough to get involved and don't let it happen. NY is going be sued soon for this...the outcome may affect us all.
