I have been to the two Walmart's in my area 2-3 times and they have had nothing but the odd calibers. It's insane out there right now to find anything. Dicks and Bass Pro are empty as well. It blows my mind when I go and see empty shelves. Even online is out of stock everywhere. If your lucky you can find some that is way overpriced or put in a backorder. I have been twice to the range, but considering not going again until I can replenish. You guys are lucky if you can find stuff local.

.223 seems to be the most sought after ammo right now. I don't think it will be a problem getting 9mm, .45, .22 here in a few weeks.

I was at an ammo sale yesterday at LAX (shooting range). Prices were pretty reasonable. All the .223 sold out quick. I got there 15 minutes after it opened and while I was still in line they said the .223 would be out by the time i got in.
I was able to pick up 1,000 rds of 9mm & 500 of cci mini mag for around $280. I also got 2,500 rds of bulk .22lr for $130 shipped the other day, so its out there but just a little pricier than normal.

Went to my local Dicks....6 box limit but the guy didn't seem too bothered. Bought 3 boxes of CCI minimag hollowpoints (375 rounds per box) because thats all they had in bulk, and 3 packs of regular minimags (100). Combed the entire state of NJ for a Ruger 10/22 with no results. Really don't want to overpay on GB for it.

I have 600+ rounds of Scorpion .22LR for the 10-22's. I might even have 100 rounds of the CCI around somewhere. Haven't bought .22 ammo in a long time.

I bought a Mosin Nagant last week on a whim and had to hang around the gun counter at the local ranch supply store for an hour waiting for my background check to go through (normally it's 5 minutes . . but an hour is better than the 2 days I had to wait the weekend before Christmas). It was pretty interesting. Every 5-10 minutes someone was coming by to ask about:
.223 ammo and/or 5.56 ammo .22 ammo AR magazines They actually had a small stash of all of those (the .22 was 100 round boxes of CCI mini mag), but it was limit two boxes of each type of ammo and two magazines per person, per day. The magazines were clear plastic 20 rounders that they were selling for $18 each. They said they hadn't raised any prices and were trying to make sure their regular customers could get something, even if it was just 2 boxes of ammo a day. They even said their price on the magazines was $1 less than it was 2 months ago, believe it or not. Good folks. Their rifle rack was 1/3 full - with all bolt action hunting rifles and shotguns, except they had one of those .22 M1 carbine looking things. Their handgun counters were about 15% full, with a handful of .22 single action revolvers, a .45 single action revolver, a .460 S&W revolver, and about 8 oddball semi-autos in either .40, 10MM or .22. So things are pretty bonkers out there right now . . but it's not completely crazy. And they said they are still getting ammo shipments in. And my mosin is pretty rad. pre-war 1939 Tula, if anyone is into that sort of thing. $119. I have 940 rounds of 7.62x54R on the way, half new and half 70's surplus. |

Yes...I do think I hate you

wow, 1000rd cases of Speer Gold Dot .45 are hard to find and priced at at nearly $700 each...fucking nuts.
I've bought from sgammo before and they're out...as most of their stock is, except for Hornady which was already pretty expensive and only sold in 200rd cases. Basically $1 a bullet for Hornady TAP CQ.

Everything EVERYWHERE is sold out. Its ridiculous! Mags, ammo, bcg's..all gone. Best bet is to hold on to what you have and wait out the panic. Or pay outrageous prices.. no thanks.
![]() Edit: Or keep checking calguns if your in CA.
