Ok my car is acting up today. When I press the unlock button on the key to unlock my doors I only get the chirp from the alarm. The mechanism does not unlock the lock if I press it sometime I get lucky and it does unlock the lock. Does anyone have a clue what can it be. Even the button to unlock or lock doesnt even work what cause boththe key and unlock button to not function correctly.

From my research it could be the gm5 module?

f-ck i even tried my back up key does the same thing. The key is working when i press the unlock button on the key it chirp the alarm but still the dam lock doesnt unlock or lock. but only chiprs. It sometimesdoes get lucky and do unlockand lock WTF!!! The door lock button in the middle console doesnt even work. so im thinking its the not the key its the module or the actuator like hieu said. Back to searching again....

it could also be the battery, you need to check everything to know what doesn't work. that will determine whether it's the gm5 of actuator. too many things to type, so search it lol
