Warning light, Brake Pads?

Hello,

The warning light on the picture came on my '05 325xi. Initial research says it might be the brake pads. Brakes were done in March of this past year 2012, Brakes feel fine but I rather not take a chance. Any idea what I need to be looking for? Please Advise. Thank you for your help in advance.

One of the brake sensors was tripped due to low pad life left or the sensor itself was damaged.
Did you have both front and rear brakes done? If not its probably time to have the other set done.

Sensors are on Front/Driver Side & Rear/Passenger Side. Pull off wheel and inspect pad thickness. New is ~.5" thick.

Kubica is right, as usual. Check your invoice to see what was specifically done.

On my X3, the brake pad light stayed on for a week while I compared prices for the parts for a DIY-project or a local non-BMW auto repair since my the dealer quoted me $808(ft) and $776(bk). I estimated all the parts would be 374-625 (rotors,pads,senors,hold-on bolts) depending on OEM or drill-slot rotors/ceramic-carbon pads. Then the 'low-tire pressure' light came on yesterday. I measured the tires and found they were all about 25 psi and filled to 34-38 using my electronic air pump. To my surprise, both the low-pressure and brake-pad lights turned off. The weather has recently dipped down to nightly lows of mid-30s to 40s which may affect the tire pressure. I will inspect the pads to see how much leeway the idiot light gives me to decide if the brake work will be an immediate or 'next-year' project.
