The reverse light, comes on when you hit the brakes.

My fiance was driving my car the other night, and she was pulled over because the brake light on the passenger side will light up with the brakes are applied. The connection was good, and it appears to have no damage to the connector. I had to pull the bulb, until I figure it out, which now has caused the blinker light not to work. Is there any way of trouble shooting it? Or has anyone had this issue?

In the E36 the harness could get ripped in the "trunk jam" if you will. I'm not with my car so I can't check to see if it's a similar design, but I'd check the trunk light harness wiring.

Ok I will look and make sure its not kinked or split. The car only has 65k miles on it, but I know with bmw's that really doesn't mean jack squat.
