What's your take on buying refurbished AUDIO/ICE for the BMW?

I'm looking to buy something like this but is factory refurbished.

I'll be saving a good $200-$300.

Some people think buying refurbished actually can be better than new since they fix it RIGHT so it won't break again.

test the sound of it first before buying.

I don't like buying refurbished electronics. Lots of times the stuff breaks, gets fixed, and breaks again right away. No real obvious reason why it fails. Not worth the hassle in my opinion. I mean, if it was a camera, you could just pack it up and ship it back (altho not really for an eBay product). For car audio/ICE, you have to uninstall it. Too much hassle to be worth it.

Thats not such a great deal. Keep in mind you have to buy the AVH-P6500DVD with it. And besides buying refurbished electronic's for car's isn't a good idea. Esp. off ebay. I recommend selling off ebay, but never buying...esp. speakers and subs. Tips, make sure there a power seller, ask for S.#.,make sure its in origional packaging, and is an authorized dealer b/c then the warenty is still good.

Well, I got the AVH-P7500DVD already. Now looking for the nav to complete it
