Awesome on the mods!

I understand what you're saying about 1/4 mile. If i wanted a 1/4 mile car i wouldn't buy an M3, nor would i buy a Ferrari.

I love the total driving experience of the M. I was just curious to know compared to other cars 1/4mile - 0-100km/h stats.

Yeah I wasn't trying to have a go. Just explaining that some cars can hit their specs on paper very easily and some take more work the M3 is the latter!

If you are after stats such as 1/4 and 0-100 you can find them searching online for any model you want

Most cars on the street, 135s, golfs etc. etc. achieve their optimum 0-100's or very close to that with relative ease if they are auto.

The SMG M3 on the other hand is a hard car to get off the line quickly without looking like a tosser and using LC. Sometimes if you punch it then the car will rev and dump the clutch which I reckon is the quickest way to get off the line but that's only if you start the timing when the clutch drops.

My point is that the M3 is no straight line dragster. If you want a straight line weapon then get a 135 and whack on a tune, DPs, meth, FMIC and a couple of other bits and bobs. Not many cars will come close.
100% agree.

Still wouldn't think they would have it over the E46 at the track ?
Touching back on the Meganne, it lapped the Nurburgring in 8:07.97 minutes, to put this into perspective the E92 M3 was quicker by just under 3 seconds, clocking 8:05.

Very impressive for a hatch that you can snap up for around $40-45k. Obviously it's no where near as polished overall as an M, and we can argue the driving experience isn't as good, but price v performance it's definitely a winner.
