fml, cracked a barrel.

damn mutant road reflectors up in northgate. cracked the barrel of my front left Classic. how many people have actually cracked a classic just driving on a normal road? these are the set of 18x10/18x12's that floss sold to switch311. time for a new barrel i suppose.

Just replaced my two front ccw classic barrels. Ran me about 475 shipped for two of them from CCW. Install was a breeze! And got to do some much needed TLC on the wheels lol. Other than that i ruined mine cause the inner barrel lips got shaved down from hitting my frame and weakened the barrel enough to crack em. But if you got Any other questions shoot me a PM!

Hmm... Never heard of someone cracking a barrel from a road reflector before. Are you sure it wasn't a pothole or something like that that may have put a hairline crack in it beforehand?

it's possible, but these reflectors are about 6 inches across and almost 4 inches high. cresting a hill, the person in the right lane was getting a little close so i scooted over. WHAMWHAMWHAM!!! hit three in a row before i could swerve. switch311 was in the car too. blew out my front left coilover, so i'm thinking the barrel got jacked too.

What?! There is no way those dimensions could be accurate haha. Four inches high is like running over a huge rock in the middle of the road!

i'll try to get pix of one the next time i'm near northgate. honestly i'm thinking of selling the set after i fix them. maybe something a little less aggressive, a little less attention getting. the setup is sick, it draws attention everywhere, but i'm more of a subtle kind of guy. 2 inch lips in the front 4 inch in the back. 11 inch width in the front, 10 inches bead to bead, 13.5 inches wide in the rear, 11.5 bead to bead. these wheels are disgusting, i love them, but at the same time i think maybe a setup that's a little tamer would be better for me. either way, i'm cutting the fenders on friday so i can dump this thing again. tired of winter mode.

once the car is nice and clean, low and sexy again, i'll snap a pic and post it up. i'll get some progress pix too when i start to take the wheels apart and replace the barrel.
