finally came. love it. went to the omega store this morning to have them set it for me and wind it up, size it etc. straight up the best customer service I've ever experienced considering I didn't purchase it from them. the watch maker even sat down with me for like 30 minutes explaining all the features to me and how to operate it. very happy with the piece and with omega.

I had the same experience with my local Omega boutique. I purchased my PO from a place on the east coast, brought it in to get sized and they did the same thing.

PS, love the speedy

yeah. it was funny. when i called first and spoke to a customer service director of the boutique named angela. she was on the phone when i walked in and the woman who greeted me said "your watch is SO beautiful. i love it!" and i just thought to myself "ha. you made it." i was very impressed with the service.

1) 100% agreed. I got my PO elsewhere and the boutiques have always been a great customer service experience.

2) cool watch.

From one shoe wh0re to another:

You only need three watches, at most.

- Sport watch (you've already got this covered)
- dress watch
- G-shock

day-date. 3220.50... current retail is $4,600. i paid $2,375 from a seller in Australia. 1 year used, 1 year left on the warranty. case/crystal is perfect, like new. bracelet has VERY minor scratches, could easily be polished out but i don't even care.

That's a great find.

And even if you had the swirlies polished out, they'd be back in a week. Here's my clasp after almost five years of wear.

I'm curious to see what he's got coming. I'm interested in some staple-but-not-boring stuff. At $475, they might be a steal. My camel hair SC is AWESOME, although the original price was $700 (I got it for half off.)

I'm going to be selling 2 of my 3 pants from the November FF sale. The heavier fabrics don't drape right on me and end up not looking very good. I'm keeping the black watch ones though - they're 120s and look good on me.

It's rainy and cold today. Time for tweed and corduroy.

EDIT: I hate how my iPhone makes all my navy blue things look straight-up black. The cardigan is navy.

That's the goal. My crossroads moment was when I had to decide whether to go into academia or go on to law school. All my professors told me not to go into academia. So now I just dress like I did.

It was pretty disillusioning for me. I looked up to a lot of my professors and was sad to see that they saw little or no future for younger people in their profession.

Of course, now those of us who have been out in the legal world for a while see little or no future for younger people in our profession. Oh well.

yeah... as a young person, i see little to no future for young people in any profession. you need to forge your own path, do your own thing. create your own brand. as dumb as it sounds, that's the future.
