I don't find the E9x interiors to be that impressive. we have two in the family. But the 6 and 7 series interiors

every switch is articulated towards the driver and oriented in a manner that doesn't leave huge gaps like that in the corvette. Also note the proper bolstering of the seats in the car as well. Before you go and say well that's an M3, the M3 is a price and performance competitor.

A good photo (many available) and decent pair of eyes are more than enough to form the opinions I shared regarding the overall interior (and exterior) design and styling. I am taking it a bit on faith that the actual quality and fitting of the various components is very good, regardless of the aesthetic aspects.

It all probably works quite well too, though I reserve any real ergonomic concepts until I do have the opportunity to sit in one.

I was at the unveiling and saw the car at NAIAS too. The car looks as good or better in person as it does in these photos. The ergonomics inside seem pretty good too although it's hard to tell without having been able to actually drive it. Nevertheless I think this is by far the most exciting Vette since the classic Stingray. Definitely one of the most exciting announcements at the show as well.

Coming from an e46, I can imagine trying to roll up the windows and accidentally pulling the parking brake.

^seriously. An electric parking brake? Just another thing to break. Didn't the corvette have electric opening doors?

tons of audis have this feature already, since 06 i believe

I just find it compleatly unecesarry. Is it for people who don't have much strength to pull on a leaver? Or is it just the 'Push button future.'

They probably wanted to clean up the interior so they chose a button vs a lever. I bet people had similar comments when halogens were first introduced. "those are too bright and are going to blind everybody. They just just keep incandescent lights."

I read where it made more room for the cup holder. Most likely cheaper to manufacturer!

Imprtant to note it was Serial #1 and it was for charity. Something that makes collectors spend as a$$load more than it was "worth".

It's just a corvette at the end of the day.

It's just one of the best performance values for the money at the end of the day, too.

Saw it in person at the Detroit auto show the other day. I was very impressed, if you didnt know any better you would think it was a new Ferrari or something similar. Just based on looks alone this thing is worth 50k.
