Ten years old...today

Well the xi is ten years old today! Build date of 1/25/03. I was thinking about removing the factory-installed plastic below the floor mats but thought better of it...maybe in another ten years!

Hey how do you know the build "DAY"? My plate under the bonnet only tells me the build month and year...

Paint is still all original after 151k miles. It just got vanos seals at 150k and control arms today.

It gets hooked up to a GT1 for alignments. Build date is stored on the ecu.

Looking good for 10 years old thats for sure. Just used that bmwvin.com mentioned above and found out my cars birthday and mine are one day apart, car's is April 10th mine is April 11th, so close! Mine will be 12 this year.

You better get rid of that plastic sheet or I'll have to report you. That's totally unacceptable to me!

In Italy, I saw a number of cars that still had plastic wrapping on the door panels (not bmw)...thought it cheesy...like your grandma's sofas with vinyl covers.

You have a day and I want to see pictures!

I never cared for many cosmetic mods at all, that and there's no reason to drop thousands into cosmetic mods for a 10 year old car. My car is bone stock except for Eibachs and Konis.

Kubica, congrats on 10 years and here's to many more. My car is now at almost 9 years so I'm not too far behind you.
