Opinions on Saiga .308? Who Owns One?

I am no expert, but it has been flawless for me.

It is no 1000 yard sniper rifle, but I am sure it is more accurate than I am.

I would not hesitate buying another one if the deal was right.

What else can you compare it to for $500 ish?

Alight, so I got the guys down to $525 out the door. It is a used gun which makes me a little worried for a semi auto rifle in .308. Does anyone know of what to look for on these things to tell if they are worn out?

I dunno.

Make an agreement that you will buy it for $525 and he will let you return it within 14 days for $425.

Win/win and worst case you are out $100.



I almost always buy new.

Have you looked around for a new one? GunBroker, etc.? Just to make sure you are getting a great deal?

I paid less than $500 new. (but it was a better than average deal.)

This one already has the conversion and a (surprisingly) nice trigger installed. By time I paid for shipping, transfer, conversion, and decent trigger, I'm probably looking at least another +$250. I'll ask them if they would buy it back if it was messed up.

Im going to convert my saiga .308 probably around december when theres a snow storm out, I have around 500 rds through it and I love it. How are you liking the scope?

I went back to buy it and it was gone but they had some new ones coming the next week. I went back and picked up a 16'' for $500 otd. Going to start ordering up the conversion pieces. I also got about 100 rounds of brass, wish someone sold steel case .308 locally... CTD has been sold out for awhile now with this election, any leads on cheap .308 would be great!

Tuff Force Quad rail hand guard
ATI Stock and Pistol Grip (going to try something else next time, really crap parts)
24 round ProMags (only thing left after Sandy Hook)
Safety Lever mod
TROMIX Charging Handle

I cant express how much I enjoy shooting this gun. Great reliability, low recoil, and a hell of a bang
