Not even close. Jicama can be eaten raw, and is actually pretty good.

If my tea has lemon I won't object, but I don't prefer it either.

It doesn't have that nasty starch mouth feel and it's much more "wet." It is more like a radish almost. Raw potatoes give you cotton mouth from all that starch.

think of a firm apple that doesn't taste like anything. i'm not sure if i've ever had cotton mouth, maybe i have to eat more, but there really is no reason for that

Let's all rant about foods that we hate

I'll play...

Lima beans suck ass (can't believe they haven't made the list yet)

Sweet potatoes (can't stand them) - I understand they are very nutricious, so if you like them, good on you

Nice fresh bright green peas are good (in moderation), but canned peas that are olive green and mushy are gross (yuck)

Pineapples (sorry, no)

---Ed

P.S. I agree that deli sandwiches that consist of inches of sliced meat piled high between two thin slices of bread are just stupid :-)

Sauerkraut- Who the heck took something that foul-smelling and decided to put it in their mouth? I'd sooner eat a turd than smell that crap.
Ditto for salsa verde, keep that nasty smelling green crap away from me.

Mayo- this has very few legitimate purposes and every single one of those purposes completely masks the taste.

Casseroles- Pretty much all of them and I'll throw meatloaf in this category too. If you want a meal, make it right. Don't mix everything together and bake it and assume since the ingredients are 99% the same that it's an acceptable way to serve food, because it's not.

For four years earlier in my career, I sold over $100m worth of mushrooms to the UK's largest retailer.
Even the thought of them makes me dry heave. Hate them like nothing else.

Some fusion foods out there. F'kin white people getting cheeky with their minds. I had edamame hummus once. I wanted to march back into the kitchen and punch the chef for trying to turn two perfectly good things into a half failed abortion of an appetizer.

Serves you right for even ordering an abomination like that.

werd, nothing wrong with a good Meatloaf. It was a staple whenever I visited grandma, she'd make a meatloaf and mac & cheese since you can basically cook them at the same time and temp. Good memories of times gone bye.
