Sets of 15 usually. I generally do sets of moderate weight. Dips are more of a finisher for me because I usually do them after I'm burnt from front squatting and have exhausted myself from heavy military presses (..my triceps are fried after pressing).

Some of the numbers and workouts you post up simply astound me. I really hope that some day I'll be in the same level of intensity / range of weights. I go to basic training this summer so I'm channeling my workouts towards endurance come this spring. Only a couple more months of trying to go heavy!

I think we all are reaching for something. The fact that you continue to aspire towards big numbers is a solid start. All I can tell you is to remain steadfast and think of moving weight as a puzzle. Intensity starts as a state of mind and manifests itself in your workouts. Or rather, it should manifest itself in your workouts.

Here is my workout for tomorrow:

Front Squat:

- 135 lbs. (2 x 10 reps)
- 225 lbs. (1 x 4 reps)
- 300 lbs. (1 x 2 or 3 reps)
- 185 lbs. (2 x 10 reps)
- 135 lbs. (1 x 10 reps)

Military Press:

- 185 lbs. (2 x 8 reps)
- 250 lbs. (1 x 4 reps)
- 185 lbs. (3 x 10 reps)

Dips (weighted):
- 4 x 12 reps (70 lbs.)
- 1 set of max reps (body weight)

Leg Press: 648 lbs. (3 x 10 reps)
Lex Extension: 75 reps @ 140 lbs.
Reverse DB flies: 35 lbs. (3 x 10 reps)
Reverse Incline DB flies: 25 lbs. (3 x 10)

I will be fried before I even touch leg extensions.

We are about the same!

Got 32. I know my range of motion isn't the best, but I've got a tight shoulder from a wrestling injury, so it limits me with these a bit.

This was at the end of a workout.

Ran 3 miles
Stretching
abs (bicycles, leg lifts, planks)
3 sets of chin ups
3 sets of dips

Next time do dips first. You'll pump out a few more.

Several years ago I did a set of 10 with four 45lb plates attached to a dip belt. My shoulder wasn't a fan. I think I weighed about 175 at the time.

Here is my workout for tomorrow (..edited since the workout was completed):

Front Squat:

- 135 lbs. (3 x 10 reps)
- 225 lbs. (1 x 4 reps)
- 295 lbs. (1 x 3 reps)
- 300 lbs. (1 x 2 reps)
- 185 lbs. (2 x 10 reps)
- 135 lbs. (1 x 10 reps)

Military Press:

- 185 lbs. (2 x 8 reps)
- 250 lbs. (1 x 3 reps)
- 185 lbs. (4 x 8 reps)

Dips (weighted):
- 4 x 12 reps (70 lbs.)
- 1 set of max reps (body weight)

Leg Press: 648 lbs. (3 x 10 reps)
Lex Extension: 75 reps @ 140 lbs.
Reverse DB flies: 35 lbs. (3 x 10 reps)
Reverse Incline DB flies: 25 lbs. (3 x 10)

I will be fried before I even touch leg extensions.

Here are pics and videos from the workout above:

Here is a pic sequence of a 295 lb. front squat. I mustered 3 reps @ 295 lbs. and 2 @ 300 lbs.

Here is a video of my Military Press; 3 reps @ 250 lbs.

And here are 44 dips at my body weight after heavy front squats, heavy military pressing, and 4 sets of weighted dips with 70 lbs.

Then I went to Qdoba with a friend who had meatless tacos (???) and I had a monster burrito. That burrito was awesome.

Gotta love food like that after a good workout. I used to go to chiptole religiously after heavy workout days. Amazing job on the dips and shoulder press

Evolved, also well done man. Sorry to hear about your shoulder. I had a similar issue after doing incline press with something like 160 on it. Went up, came down, tried to go up and used too much shoulder and then felt it grind and hurt like a mofo

I have no issue with vegetarians, but I do have an issue with actually paying for a tortilla, a slice of tomato, and some lettuce. He could've made that himself for about a nickel.

I know this isn't a report on dips, but I possibly had the best workout I've ever had in 5 months of training today. It was chest, I got my max up for 3 reps on flat bench! (185)

We did so many movements with so many different grips and isolations and I just focused on my form and really getting excellent contractions. I think I got some cardio in because of how much head bobbing and air drumming I was doing with my music. What an incredible day, and a re-motivating day for the rest of my training. Total workout was about an hour and 45 minutes of constant moving.

Edit: I really do think manifesting my mindset of "I'm a beast and going to move this weight" just made everything feel lighter today.
