glad to see that you are the boss in your house ( the way she can win is to keep you awake at night ,you would let her have her own way to get some sleep ! That is what my one did , )

Make a thread. I love to see start to finish pics.

I'm going to redo my basement in the next 18 months. It is already finished, but there are things about it that bug me. I'll create a thread when the time comes.

Wired these both up. Both really easy and also very happy with them. Dimmer is for the baby's room and the Nest is for our main level. I'm liking it so I will probably replace our upstairs thermostat too

I love the form factor / aesthetics of the Nest thermostats. I'd like to grab one when they come down in price.

Not really for my house but I spent the weekend making a few custom toolbox drawer inserts. It's actually not hard to do, just time consuming. The upside is that it improves the cluster fvck that are my toolbox drawers.

I still have a few more to go and am dreading doing all the sockets but it'll be worth it when it's all done.

New shutters today.

Old ones were from the 70s and a dated wood color that just didn't look good.

Let's see.... Today, new ceiling box in the nursery for an overhead light.

Last weekend: new storage shelves in the attic.

Last month: widened a closet door, new bifold closet door, closet lighting, closet system (Elfa).

This spring: fence off more of the yard, finish the deck, finish the raised planter bed, new grass, plant the bed. New windows.

I have following left in my basement.

- Spray cabinet doors

- Install counter top and sink for wet bar

- Install pedestal sink

- Install wood transition at top of steps and between carpet and wood bathroom.

Compared to the overall work I have done, this all can be completed on a Saturday and half of a Sunday.

We had the shutters done by a local company...they are Hunter Douglas and we're very happy with them.

My basement is crawling along...snails pace. Hoping to complete by May.

Sounds like you are making great progress!
