well this thread seems to have taken an interesting course but anywayssssss..
i'm a sophomore at Drexel, studying mechanical engineering aka pain in the ars.
got my first car, 00 323Ci about half way through senior year of hs, paid for it myself since I had a job since 14 pretty proud of that since it had oem nav and all the factory goodies.
got tired of it, had some issues with it, still can't sell it for what I'm asking for it so it's kinda just sitting in my buddy's lot.
About 3 months ago got myself a new car, an 04 325xi 5-speed 89,xxx miles. Again, with my own money. Hoorah for college kids who can actually manage to put some money away!

Anyways, when I bought it it was already tinted all around, muffler delete, oh and some cewl stock rims painted black man! oh and tinted tail lights.

Getting some new wheels for it asap along with new headlights or at least a new lens for now as you can tell in the pics attached.
The pictures are actually from when my buddy was getting a shoot done of his vette, I just came for the lolz.

My e46 story, I go to school here in west Texas Midland college. Studying for petroleum engineering. I have had my car for two years now I bought it at a used car lot for 12k with 79k miles E46 02 325i Sport Package, Winter Package, I'm at about 120k now. Decided I had to have one when I graduated from high school. I have had numbers of typical problems and worked on myself like the radiator cracked, oil filter housing gasket was done, wheel bearings making a real loud noise in the rear, valve gasket, system air bank 1/2, blown and old suspension. My second week having the car I hit a dog going 50 mph around a curved turn. About 3 months ago my car was in a hit and run in a parking lot at IHOP...It wasn't real bad but it was really aggravating. But I love my car also I wish I knew what I know now about these cars because I would of bought maybe a 330ci/330 or saved up for a M3.

The mods I have accumulated on my car are HR Race Cup Kit, plasti-Dip my headlights, power flex control arm bushings, BBS LM Reps, resonator delete and sound muffler, rolled my back left fender to,RHO license plate holder, license plate delete. I'm pretty much done I really want to save up for a M3 now and sell my car eventually. Here are some pictures.

Hey guys, this is my 2000 328Ci with 164K on it. I'm currently studying Biomedical sciences at Quinnipiac, and picked this car up from NJ back in August of '11. I bought it for $5,500 and have replaced the entire cooling system, O2's, sparks, filters, ect. as well as the headlight lenses, fog lights, installed LED rear taillights, Dice Duo, and a bunch more crap. Recently just added 20% tints. Anyways here's a few pics!

Hi Everybody! I'm a senior Computer Science major at Northern Illinois University. Just got my 2002 330i w/ Sport Package back in September 2012. It's all stock and had 98,000 miles when purchased. Currently has 103,000 miles. I've got a lot planned for it but the only thing I've done so far is put a drop in K&N filter, replaced spark plugs, oil change and cabin filter.

Does your car have any lowering springs on it? it doesnt seem that way from your pictures.

Here's the two e46s I've owned. Still have the 01 Coupe.

First 2 pictures: '02 325i and 01 325ci

Did everything myself. Nothing too major under the hood, but the headrests in the '02 were a lot of fun. The two-tone door panels weren't too bad. But the double din in-dash...that was quite a pain.

(I will say I no longer have the gaudy chrome rims anymore.)

Agreed. The rims went bye bye a long time ago..I went with some black 18" e90 m3 reps. Made a world of difference.

Who here goes to University of Maryland? I just got accepted and Im probably gonna end up going there

looks sick and not to be the more low guy but more low lol. a subtle drop will clean up your body lines and help the flow of your car. im not talking about slamming it and scraping your oil pan but a decent set of coils and a moderate drop will make her pop.. love the black on black and the front end is nasty

Currently a finance student at Xavier University. Sold my Mustang to get my first BMW, 2003 330CI with the Sports Package. Already installed a Kenwood KVT touch screen multimedia stereo with steering wheel controls and bluetooth module. Plan on getting rid of the stock HK speakers/amps asap and installing a full set of high quality components and a multi channel amp (audiophile). Bought the car w/ angel eyes.

On the negative side I have spent 3k in maintenance already including a fuel pump, motor mounts, complete cooling system overhaul, and a new disa valve. Furthermore, I am still battling vanos faults/cold start up problems. Hope to get her all figured out soon (will never buy an out of state car again). However, I still love her... A lot.
