black 330i: matte or gloss black window trim??
So I've decided I'm gonna order some black vinyl for my ugly chrome window trim but I'm not sure if I should get matte black or gloss black? I was leaning towards matte but figured I'd ask you guys. Thanks

Matte for sure
Looks a lot sportier than the gloss. Its personal preference though [bimmerapp]

Both are better than chrome! I prefer matte, but gloss also looks good.

The only E46 with gloss balck are the ZHP package cars. The others are all matte.
I like gloss.. My touring will have gloss black, painted with clearcoat in a few weeks..

Here it is on my car. You can kind of see it. I personally love it. Give it a good coat of wax/detail spray and it really looks great.

Gloss looks more premium. Eg. ZHP, M3

Keep in mind that he's talking about gloss vinyl, not OE gloss (ZHP) trim.
Does the gloss stay glossy when stretched/applied over trim? I've never even seen photos of it! close ups anyone?

I just recently was sick of my faded/flaking paint and taped everything off and used a gloss and my airbrush. I couldn't be happier with the results. I will post pics when I get a chance. It really looks nice. I had the same debate for a while before going gloss and I couldn't be happier.

Gloss. The only time to choose matte paint over gloss is if you're camouflaging something. This whole matte car thing is a giant fad that once gone will be looked at with the same amount of disgust as the body kits and spoilers of the 90's.
