Best .22 tack driver w/ threaded barrel?

Apologies for reviving an old thread, but I don't think that I'm ever going to get the Ruger 1230 (going on five months now) so I'm looking for something else.

Adam - have you had a chance to take yours out and put it through the paces? With the .22 suppressor on the way, I think a bolt gun is going to be a better companion to the takedown than another 10/22.

I have a normal Savage Mk2 (non-threaded, non-accutrigger) and it's very accurate even with the bulk pack ammo. With the Rem golden bullet .22LR bulk pack, I can nail 4in groups at 100yds with a crappy 3x scope. Only improvement that you need is a quick trigger job and those are very cheap on the Mk2. Google for more info but it just involves shimming the action and polishing the sear/trigger. I'm working on completing the trigger job right now (too fvcking cold to work outside on the bench) along with a paint job. With the trigger work, a new scope, and better ammo I'm sure I can get better groups than I'm getting now.

With how expensive ammo is now, it's by far my favorite gun to shoot.

I shot his with the suppressor. We played battleship. Shot true. Was lots of fun. Not to mention his looks bad ass!!

Update:

The Savage is out for delivery today to my FFL soI should be able to pick it up tomorrow.
The stock is on its way from Boyds.
JoBob has already delivered two 10 round magazines.
Still waiting on the bipod and scope mounts to ship from him though.

hopefully you enjoy it as much as I like mine. If you find a box of cci quiet ammo locally snag it and you can see how stupid quiet that gun is suppressed.

I emailed Joseph this morning, and received a shipping notification about an hour later so the bipod and scope rings are now on the way.
I've been on the hunt for the CCI Quiet with no luck. Midway has them availalbe for backorder, so I may just order it.

Subsonic ammo is a must with the silencer.... lol. Squirrels will think your shooting spit wads through a straw at em
