I was able to score 1500 rounds from cheaper than dirt. I ordered 2000, but got an email telling me they only have 1500 to sell to me, so I took it. No luck on reasonably priced 223 though.

I don't know. Nothing crazy. Maybe 1000 or 2000.

I guess it depends on how much it cost.

I don't know anything about .22LR ammo other than it used to be $30-$40 for 500 and now its not.

Can you PM the info please?

Yup my Walmart went from 1 to 2 boxes. Another went to 3 total with 1 box limit per UPC per day.

Right now, CCI Mini Mags....the good 22LR for handguns is almost impossible to find. I have better luck finding every other caliber.

Get a threaded Ruger mark III and I'll trade you (plus cash on my end) for my Ruger 22/45

I saw one at a show a few months ago and am kicking myself now for not picking it up...$350.

Just wanted to share that Walmarts online inventory locator is very accurate. If it says that your ammo is on the shelf... I've found it to be there. Just a friendly hint.

^ very cool.

I just read about Walmart's inventory system and it is one of the most advanced systems in the world. Everything is in real time via Walmarts own satellite system.

I also saw on Good Morning America that they are limiting ammo to 3 boxes per person nationally.

My local walmart shows "in limited quantitys" for some different ammo but by limited I guess they mean none...ever.

20 boxes yesterday at 5 pm, i bought the last 2 this morning 15 min ago.

as an aside, the system (atleast in my area) works flawlessly. mainly due to the ammo being locked up, their counts are dead on.

i wanted to check how fast they update. i checked their system before i went, it showed in stock. now, just 14 min after the "paid" time on the receipt, the system shows "sold out".

pretty awesome stuff, and i got 223 at normal prices. hope it works for you too.

I seriously doubt we're going to be seeing "stocked shelves" for about ~6 months. The hysteria is still very much on, and it will take a while for things to settle. Supply might increase, but it's going to be snatched up almost immediately.

I stopped by Cabela's this morning, and there are scores of people there as we speak, buying up ANYTHING they could get their hands on.....hunting rifles, handguns, ammo etc. People are buying rifles they don't know jacksh!t about, solely because there happened to be ammo on the shelves for it (it was pretty funny to hear some of the silly conversations and questions I overheard)

This has been the case at that particular store for a few weeks now (been there several mornings @ 9am hunting for ammo). I've never seen their rifle racks so decimated
