You didnt have to shoot at the lowest aperture.

I don't remember the exact settings, just because I took it a while ago but I'll see if I can find some of the settings on the file and change the aperture from that. Thanks

There was only so much I could do. Getting the WB in camera is very important, even with the "I shoot RAW" excuse.
Thanks! What did you do exactly to get it like that?

What do you need? Send me a PM with the questions and I'll try to get to it in the morning.

let me gather my thoughts
it is mostly about positioning of the lights
i'll send some questions over tomorrow
you can get back to me at your leisure

in the mean time
here are a few that i took today

posting this without any processing except resizing (because whatever i try seems to make it worse)
i was focusing on the left side, probably the darker pendant
had a hard time focusing* (more on that below)

this one i fiddled with to make the colors pop more but i did too much to it

adjusted exposure, contrast

a little touching up on colors

*today i realized that my right eye really is f*cked
my vision in right eye is worse than -8.5 with bad astigmatism and even with glasses i have a hard time seeing clearly
(-8.5 is the prescription and i don't see 20/20 with it)
i could not focus in the viewfinder using my right eye ... everything looked blurry
i had to look with my left eye to be able to get the stuff in focus manually or just rely on auto focus

Try shooting at a narrower aperture. You need a bit more DOF on those. Also, get more lights. There's a thread here in OT Photo where I told a guy exactly how to shoot his engagement ring. Get white paper. You really need the light on both sides and above sometimes. Those black highlights should be.. highlights... so in white.

so you don't want to light it "head on" from the direction that you are shooting from?
just side and above?
i mostly had it flashing from one side or from head on

My eyes are the same way. I can barley read a computer screen with my right, but my left is fine. Therefore I have always looked through the videwfinder with my left. Looking through with my right feels weird.

1) Get dSLR, kit lens.
2) Frustrated with onboard flash, lousy indoor pictures.
3) Get a fast prime. Amazed.
4) The lost years - all shallow DOF all the time. Talk about 'bokeh' a lot.
5) Sell all zooms. Talk about being an 'all primes' shooter like this is the same as 'have huge manhood'.
6) Grandma says "Nice picture, shame all of Suzie isn't in focus." Shake head at crazy old lady. Later realize old lady has a good point.
7) Realize that not all available light is pretty light. Get Speedlight. Amazed by bouncing light.
8) Read strobist blog. Sell all fast primes. Travel everywhere with two lightstands and remotes.
9) Get sick of lugging lighting gear everywhere. Rethink everything.
10) Realize that good available light is fine, and the ability to make good light is important too. Acquire balanced kit of zooms and primes that match interests. Shoot with available light sometimes, shoot with flash sometimes.

i laffed at this
