Does anyone have any experience with the samsung chromebook?

Seems like a worthy replacement for my missing tablet. Might even be better because I don't really use apps all that much

Depends what you need it for and what you expect of it. If you want to browse the web and need more keyboard than a tablet provides, it's a good solution.

If the cost exceeds $300, you enter into laptop territory where you might as well just get a full OS.

You can get something small like this that has a real OS:

If you find a chromebook for cheap like $199, that's a good deal for a web browsing machine.

From a strict caloric perspective, deli meat is usually fine. It's the fillers/processing chemicals that are mildly concerning for general health.

Sodium isn't that bad, assuming you drink enough water and sweat enough to allow your body to expel excess.

Can you load movies and watch netflix on it? That would probably be a dealbreaker, but not having to lug my gigantic 17" laptop around would be nice.

Imagine a laptop that you can only use your web browser. So yes, netflix and youtube will be no problem.

Now imagine if you closed your browser, your computer turned off. It's kinda like that.

And yeah, I couldn't manage a 17". I use a 13" Macbook Pro for work. Next week they are upgrading me to a 15" retina. If those things weren't so slim, I'd opt for the 13" air. I'd take the hit in performance for not having to lug it around.
