Has anyone added a performance chip to 2006 m3 ?

Tune?

Yes tune . A performance chip for more horse power.

Search for Bimmerworld's tune and Evolve's tune. Those seem to be the most popular on the forums though there are many more available. There's plenty of threads on this topic already, so just use the search bar in the top right. Search "tune" instead of "chip," as people don't really refer to the tunes as chips because there is no physical chip, just a change in the car's software. Also, don't expect much difference with a tune unless you have some performance mods to go with it. This car is not cheap to get power out of. Good luck.

Before you get a tune I would recommend buying some headers or else you won't feel much of a difference...
Best tunes out are evolve or epic .

Are you saying that your car is immobilized somehow and cannot move? Or are you saying you can't do a burnout from a stop?

Either way, a tune is not what you are looking for. Stock M3s have plenty of power to get the rear end loose.

I think he means spin the tires.

Yay, another kid that got their first car and is "tearing up the streets".

I wish we could artificially set M3 prices out of their price range.

Not trying to be a smart A$$, how long have you owned the car for? The M has plenty of power to spin the rear-end but its not a 5.0L mustang and its not made for that. I really do understand what your getting at but you need to drive your M the way it was meant to be driven, roads with nice turns. Try and find some track events where you can really see her shine. Like someone mentioned bimmerworld, epic tune or evolve are your most talked about tunes with great reviews with mods.

Ok I get what you mean. It is my first M3 and love everything about it but am an old mussle car guy and I guess old habits are hard to let go of. If my car was a stick I know I could burn the tires off but with the smg trany when you nail it from a dead stop or even torque stand it the car goes into like a stall before taking off. Other than that little peave the car is AMAZING . BMW is my ride for all time Hooked big time. Who new?

Well if you really want to do burn outs with out the stall use launch control. You will hear plenty of people telling you why this is not a good idea, and I'm not saying it is. LC duplicates a clutch drop in a normal manual car. Your time is better spent picking lines and pinning the throttle out of the apex.

Funny I came from a mustang, and yes from a dead stop I hammered it thinking it was gonna get tail happy but it spun a bit and shot me straight, its a whole new animal and has become my favorite car, enjoy man its a blast.
