our anniversery date is the 13th and valentines day is the 14th so im taking her to the Ringling bros weds night for our one year and got her a burberry umbrella to match her boots i got her and valentines day just going out to eat at my boys restaurant

guys, wtf do I do?

Many of you know my situation.

Been hanging out for exactly 2 months, officially bf and gf for a couple weeks she's 29 I'm 30.

Her work schedule is very sporadic since she's kind of a self employed hair stylist. She comes and goes throughout the day so I don't know about delivering flowers. I was thinking of going out to dinner and having flowers waiting for her at my house when we got back. Is that too late? Will she feel crappy if nothing shows up at her job and other women get sh1t? It's kind of one of those better to be safe than sorry situations but she mentioned to me that she doesn't like surprises so I don't want to embarrass her or anything. Fuuck. lol.

Def right...girls want to brag. They all talk. If you do next to nothing for your girl, she will feel worhtless when all her friends start spouting off about what their men did. Ya gotta step up and deliver....hate to say it...but these are the things girls remember.

Me personally, Both our finances are a bit tight right now after the holidays.....so I've conjured up a two stage plan.

For Vday I'll be making her manicotti, salad, garlic bread, and dessert with wine at my place and a nice card. But stage two is a romantic weekend getaway to Lake Seneca for the wine tours in late March after the tax refund comes in and the winter freeze is over.

She'll be able to brag to her girlfriends about the great homecooked meal...then be able to lay it out about the weekend getaway.

In my thread I said I went all out with the flowers because she's among her peers at work who talk; she's a clothing designer so I couldn't exactly go with 800 flowers lol

I would say if you have the means to do so yes send them.

Thoughtful personal note in the flowers goes a long way, mixed bouquet with 2 red roses surrounded by other colors/blooms, sends a subconcious message to her especially considering you just became "facebook" official.

I had an ex as a florist and she hated to receive flowers understandably so but I did learn a lot from her that comes in handly now

If you want to "build" one or are browsing on teleflora/800flowers/etc. go with the 2 red roses idea surrounded by white and pink. Or add some color in with yellow and orange as well as the white pink. To keep costs down you can use other flowers such as carnations (cheaper than roses by a lot especially around valentine's where a 5$ rose can cost 15$ and a 1$ carnation can cost 3$.) Baby's breath is a must as well as good vibrant greenery to "fill" the bouquet up.

I can also have it waiting at my house with some gay candles or something for after dinner.

Given women are very visual creatures and love to show off for certain things I think the flowers at work is the boom she'd like for, at home it's a garnish to the dinner.
