Hello e46 fanatics,

Need help with my top. I hadn't dropped the top for about 4 months and last weekend I tried to drop the top and noticed that now it needs help to get it open and to close it..Does anyone have an idea if there's something broken or do tops need to be reset? and if need to be reset how's done....please help!.....Thanks in advance

Check your fluid level (search, lots of threads about it) and start checking the trunk, storage compartment, and around the rear glass for fluid.

It's a hydraulic top, the only way it's need assistance is if the fluid level is low or the motor is going. Confirm its not fluid, then it's the motor.
