My Ride: 330ci + stg2 Scoobie
Hello from a E46 and Subaru owner

Welcome! Up until 3 months ago I had my e46 330ci and a stage 2 legacy gt wagon. The power that turbo boxer engine makes is incredible. I miss the speed and power of the scoobie, plus awd is always nice in the winter. Subaru + BMW is a great combo

Love the Scoob.

BMWs and Subarus are my two favourite cars.

How do you like the BMW in comparison to the STi? When I sold my E36 I almost bought a WRX instead of my E46. I sort of regret it.

Lol, an STi over a 330 M-sport I could understand.

...but a WRX? C'mon man. Raise those standards of yours.

The side marker ambers I'm assuming you're referring to? Do you see any orange on both cars? LoL

It's a different type of car all together. That's why I like them both. The STi, especially with mine being an 05. It's raw performance, not much noise canceling insulation, horrible speakers stock, not many luxury features. It's a pure bred race car made for the street.

The E46 is just the opposite. Luxury with some basic performance.

When I go back and forth to work, I drive the BMW, when I want to feel like exhilaration and 7 MPG, I'll drive the STi.

They both have things that I love but, there is nothing like a large turbo car going into boost. Scare the daylights out of me still to this day. Love the sound of the Tial BOV going off under low boost. Scaring the tails off almost any car on the road.

WRXs are beasts too, man.

They can all easily make 300AWHP reliably and relatively inexpensively when compared to BMWs. Slap a VF39 on with supporting modifications and you're a happy WRX owner... just be careful with the transmission. I've driven a 16G bugeye WRX, a 16G GC STi and a VFxx GC STi... they're all animals. The way the pull in comparison to my 330 is ridiculous. Plus the intoxicating turbo spool noises and the UEL header rumble.

A WRX would have been a more practical vehicle to own than my 330, and it would destroy the Canadian Winters!

One day...

Edit: But like MacSTi said, they are pretty different vehicles - they're rather difficult to compare.
