I use to have a Yukon 40 count that was very reliable but that is not the norm in humidors. Pretty much anything less that $200 will be a hit and miss. Mostly miss if you ask me

I will say save some money and get a Cuban crafters humidor from a site that has a free return/exchange policy. Do the dollar test and return if not satisfied. Do that until you get a good one

They are okay. Your can find cheap ones that are good and expensive that are crap. Very hit and miss. Do the dollar test and test the seal

how much should i have to spend for a reliably non-leaky humidor that can hold about 30-40 cigars? i don't think i'd really want to drop much more than $100

also, griff, the reason why i'm a bit wary about the link you posted is because ive read that glass-top humidors tend to be leakier

that is true. the seal on glass top ones can be weak. there are more chance for a faulty seal. But you can do the dollar test and see if it is good. I have had numberous humidors over the years. I keep my humidor in my scotch room so the temp is always good. If you are looking to spend 100 or less, find a nice cedar one with no gllass that can hold 2 times the amount of sticks you plan on putting iin there.

I have that glass top humidor as do three of my friends and none of us have had any issues. I've also heard that CI's customer service is great and they'll replace it if you have problems.
