Strange noise coming from engine

I have a 01 325ci this noise started a month back and i look around but i cant find anyone else with the same problem maybe someone else has had this same problem

My Ride: 2005 330i
It's either your belt tensioner/idler pulley or both. You should replace both at the same time. Check the DIY's on how to do this.
Current Vehicles in my stable:

I had a loud schreeching noise that was intermittent and did not increase with engine speed. One day the noise went away. The next day disaster struck. Lost my belt and 2 pulleys. Hydraulic tensioner was fine but the one pulley was missing the other was bitten up.Hope this helps

either you have a mouse under your hood or like they said, check your belts, pulleys, and tensioner. you could have oil on your belt, or it could be cracked. it could also be something that's become missaligned. PS pump, alternator, AC compressor. that's my best guess.
