I did 66 days of p90x and stopped because I took a trip to chicago and OSU for two weeks
Then just did general workouts after for a few months

Tried to restart p90x a handful of times but never made it past one week
Just didn't have the same motivation

Find enough motivation and you will make time and space
P90x doesn't actually require too much space. I just did it in the living room, put computer on dining table, and walked over to the bathroom where I hung the pullup bar for when I needed pullups

I have one of the prettiest and clay running tracks only about 3 minutes from my house that so few people ever use. Both the grass in the center and the red clay around the outside are perfectly groomed, there is a drinking fountain, an area off to the side with some bars good for pullups, most of the track is surrounded by eucalyptus trees, and it's on on a hillside so it has a few over most of Berkeley and part of the bay.
I jelly...I wish I had one of those

Nice work - that's a good pace. I know I'm too out of shape to run 3 x 10min miles.

Which is why bodybuilders eat right before going to sleep (ideally something high in casein protein, slow digesting)
Because during the time you sleep, your body is in a fasting state

And the way to do this effectively is to plan out your meals or at least track your calories so you know how much more you need to eat for the rest of the day

If you undereat by too much your body will store more fat because it will think there is a famine and it must store more fat to survive
This is why people who starve themselves cannot maintain weight loss

[bimmerapp]
How can you be starving if you aren't even hungry?

Frank also isn't doing any exercise at all, so a bodybuilder isn't a very comparable subject.

Meh, most of the stuff you say seems like your twist on the same stuff I've read online, and the rest being your theories based off how your own body reacted.

Stick to your own methods for yourself but don't dish out nutrition or workout advice
I think that would be best ... for everyone

Frank can still lose weight steadily without exercise if he followed all the things I discussed with him when we met up
Of course he is not following everything but he is starting to follow some of it

The lighter you get, the easier it is on your joints. It is something to look forward to the more weight you lose.

You just stepped the line of what not to say.

As a fat lawyer who self elected himself as everyone's nutritionist, you are in no position to tell anyone else what they can and cannot say. Right from the start, you criticized this competition, didn't put your money where your mouth is, and have done nothing to prove you even care about your own fitness, making you the biggest hypocrite in "trying to help" people who are involved. I put "trying to help" in quotations because you also have zero credibility for anything health related as the extent of your background is reading articles online of unknown validity, making no better than the rest of us and less than someone like dave.

Do NOT EVER tell people not to contribute to a good cause, right or wrong, because community and conversation is the only thing that is holding this competition together. Be polite and constructive or get the hell out of here.

If you take off two of those large plates, I could probably do that.

Figure out how to do it right and you can lift more. After I figured form out better (drive through heels, not the balls of your feet) I was able to quickly stack a good 60lbs on. Today some guy was deadlifting before me and doing it wrong. I was all like "bro, don't use your balls" and shiit.

Not bad, but try lifting both sides instead of just 1.
