Angel Eye Paint/Tint?
Has anyone tried painting or tinting their angel eyes to get a more uniform look between the LEDs? I've had the EAS Auroras for about a year and at certain angles the gaps are pretty noticeable. I originally got the idea from this thread:
http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=677806 I tried wrapping them with some silver vinyl, but it looks worse. I'm also considering a semi-transparent paint but I'm not sure if that would help disperse the light more evenly. Any advice or ideas on how to minimize the appearance of the"pearl necklace" look would be greatly appreciated. |

Paint would probably completely alter how the lights look. Maybe if someone has a set they're not using or a spare you can get your hands on them to try it out.

Maybe some clear or white plastidip? So you can Peel it off if it doesn't work. I've always thought about tinting AE's different colors with plastidip.

That could work although I'm not sure if plastidip is that transparent. I wonder if there's a product that could tint it similar to the finish on a fluorescent light bulb. Either that or a thinner type of vinyl wrap. |

I found a thread were someone used window frost spray -
http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=911204 Thats exactly the look when I want when lit up, but they look odd when off. Maybe thin silver metallic coat on top would look better. |
