I wish I had known e90 racks fit e46's, I like their design better...

I'm jealous. I was looking at those when I got my OEM rack. They were so expensive and I would've had to wait for them to ship from Sweden.

They are nice and silent. Only issue I have is finding things like a spare wheel holder. But I think the new Thule one will work. Fingers crossed

Love my roof rack! Evrything used except for the landing pads just touched it all up with some flat black. Ready for snowboarding season!

Did you get the black body trim painted? I know this is off topic but I was wondering because I was thinking about getting mine painted

Not sure if its me your asking but no all the trim on my car came black from factory. But i did spray my chrome grille with the same flat black as the rack this is just an older pic. But its really easy and worth it to spray all your trim. Just make sure you prep it with some scotch-brite and spray some adhesion promoter on it before the color and youll have a good looking durable finish.

Scotch brite like $3, flat black like $5-$10, adhesion promoter in a spray can probly $10. Cheap and worth it DIY

actually the complete rack is from thule the base, bars, and thule. i also like the oem racks the bases are cleaner.

here's a question: Can you still get the OEM bars for a touring with roof rails from BMW? Or is it all "good luck finding it used" these days? (I do see 'em come up occasionally in the classifieds.)
