How to change the side-light?

Dear BMW Lovers

I have a BMW E46 2001;

How to change the side-light on (first position on the switch housing inside the car near the steering wheel)?

Does anybody has a DIY video or a link with a clear images?

are you talking about the headlight switch within the car, the turn signal next to the low beam, or the side indicator behind the front wheel?

I assume the third option, if so just push it toward the rear of the car and the spring compresses. You can then pull towards you at the 'front' and it will come out

I think he's asking how can he turn his turn signal side repeater on with the parking lamps, but I'm not sure if that's what he's asking. If so, it's like on Acura TL's and Jaguar X-Types. It looks kinda neat

you would need to rewire them to the parking lights instead of how they are properly turn-signals ONLY

I presume the OP is talking about the parking lights.

If so, the bulb holder twists about 20 degrees anti clockwise
and releases. A 5w cap less bulb fits.

This is basically the DIY. It's pretty simple and a trim prying tool or screwdriver with electrical tape on the end or something else that won't damage the paint can be used to help pull it from the body once you've slid it back to depress the clip.

yu can use something such as a credit card too
