Recommendations?

We have two that need replacement. Tracks are there...no motors installed currently (or brackets...but wires are there). Doors are toast. Standard size.

WE ONLY WANT INSULATED.

typically when you replace the doors you are to change the track too.

but clopay seems to very popular and offer numerious styles.

Call around locally. I had a garage door issue at my last house right before I moved and the prices are all over the board.

Yea...we've had two quote around $1,500 installed with new brackets and motors. Third one came in at $1,300. While $1,300 seems dirt cheap and a steal...I'm worried about quality at that point. We don't want anything special besides insulation...no awkward sizes...no windows...just two garage doors, door motors and new rails.

You might try Costco if they have any near you. I always see their big display for their home improvement services on the way out the door when I go. One of the displays is for garage doors. Just a thought.

Do you have to replace the rails you replace a garage door ?

I thought that rails were generic ............or are the rails specific to each door system ?

It's like fitting an inside door...sometimes they are "off" a little or maybe a lot.
