There are several factors affecting cost of insurance. To quickly answer your question, yes your insurance will go up from what you currently pay for your 323i to an ///M.
Depending on the amount of coverage you choose, your driving record, ![]() ![]() In my case I shell out about $800/yr for my ///M - full coverage. I would guess (assuming you have a perfect driving record and are over 25) that the difference should be no more than about $100-$120/yr from what you're already paying. How much it will go up depends on the insurance you choose. For me it was worth the cost of having my ///M and I'm enjoying the heck out of mine!

What is your age, home zip code, driving record and credit score? All affect your insurance rate.

For me it was cheap. Get quotes. That's the only way you're going to find out. Asking us what we pay is not going to help you.
And what's with the annoying trend of putting a bunch of extra letters at the end of words.

I'm on there insurance because I can be.... They said it doesn't matter to them and they don't feel like taking the time to remove me so for now it's fine. So I'm not complaining and going to beg for my own.. But thanks for the help I was just curious.

^ I'm still on my father's insurance because it's way cheaper for me and it's the best insurance around!
23y.o., bad accident on my record, and I have a few (insurance) points, as they stick around longer than they do for my state's records - I pay I think it's 1700/yr full coverage.

What kind of car do you own? Is the m3 like high performance under insurance?

So you're 18, already have a bad driving record, and you want an M3?
This can only end well.

Quick to judge without knowing the facts... Had my license suspended for passing through a bus stop sign at a confusing intersection when the driver didn't have the sign out. Lost at court and yeah.
