Can anyone confirm that I will be able to pair my phone without a problem?

Is there a way I could try pairing my phone to the CK3000 before I purchase the Connects2 wiring harness?

You should be able to pair your phone by opening the BT app in your phone to pair, if your phone reads Parrot CK3000 or whichever kit you have, just enter the pairing code which I think is 1234 by default, I hope this helps you.

Does this diy enable me to play music from my phone via bluetooth, or does it only do voice command talking?

No - for that you need a later model Parrot kit. Something in the 9xxx series.

Why not just use the BT on the Nexus?

Business CD & OEM Phone Buttons

Ok, I'm a newb , so don't shoot me. This is my first BMW and I'm new to all this modding stuff.

I just want to be clear before I purchase the wrong thing. I have a 2006 325ci Coupe. It has the "Business CD Player" and it has the "Talking Head" button on the steering wheel as well as the "R/T" button.

1. Will these parts work with my head unit?
2. Will I be able to utilize the OEM steering wheel buttons?

Just installed this in my E46 and it works great, except for the fact that my iphone 5 won't reconnect automatically. It pairs fine and works a treat, it's just that when the ignition is turned off it fails to reconnect on start up but connects fine if done manually.

Anyone got any suggestions? I've tried a different phone (Iphone 4s) and this does the same, I've also tried resetting by holding down the red and green buttons about 5 times. The result is always the same.

I'm a blackberry user so I don't know for sure BUT a girl I work with has an iPhone4 and has the same issue with her stock BT setup in her 2012 Toyota Highlander. Could this be a 'feature' of the iPhone?

Did you have another phone paired with the parrot before? I had this issue when I upgraded to the iPhone 5. The parrot keeps a few phones in it's history and tries to reconnect to all of them, so it could take a few minutes (or indefinitely) before getting to the iPhone 5. You can reset the Parrot to clear out it's bluetooth history and then reconnect your current phone. That's what I did, and it's been fine since.

Can't recall the sequence of buttons to press, but it was in the Parrot user's manual.

Hope that helps!

*edit - Oops, noticed you said you "just installed" this. So this probably isn't the case unless you bought it used. But maybe this will help someone else having poor connection performance!

Thanks for the suggestion, the kit was second hand so no doubt did have phone's paired before. I have however deleted the memory by holding down the red and green buttons until it cleared. In fact I've done this about 5 times and it's still not working properly.

Parrot Upgrade Cable

Does anyone have a cable for updating the firmware for sale or even borrow. I tried ordering one last year overseas and never got it and had to do a charge back. I lost motivation after that and now want to try to update my firmware since i cant connect to my iphone 5.

Or does anyone know where i can purchase one here in USA. Thanks in advance.

Check the firmware version you have first. It's either printed on the blue box or will show as the last digits of the device in the bluetooth connection menu on your phone. Mine is the latest version and I'm still having problems.

yea, i'ts version 5.11, really old and doesn't even work with android, and just changed over to iphone 5 and IOS 6. either way, would be nice to be able to update whenever incompatible OS/devices come out.

Don't know why Parrot doesn't make the cable more readily available.

I got a Motorola Razr M. Been trying for weeks to update to 5.11. was able to clear all the memory, but no luck in downloading 5.11. Looking for the cable, or anyone who can do the pairing with the Parrot 3100

Big thread! I'd like to do this. 2005 e46 coupe. iPhone 5.

So could I purchase the connects2 ctppar007 and a later model parrot kit to make it work for phone and music? Is the DIY any different for that? If that would work, could someone link me to an appropriate Parrot kit?

Thanks
