my mom and sis give me boutique crap like this every few years...I have a drawer full of dried out soap still in their original packages. the only scent I use with regularity when they get it for me are the coconut scented ones as a hand soap.
For bathing I prefer a liquid soap that foams up well in my net shower sponge thing. bar soap doesn't work as well.

Foam is good for dirt and those net sponges foam like a mofo. I also have a japanese synthetic cloth that has a rough texture that works well too.
Cotton washcloths don't dry out quickly. I don't eat much fruit
