2002 BMW M3 SCCA Race Car
2002 BMW M3 SCCA T2 Race Car:
This car was professionally built by Habberstad BMW and Victory Racing (Roll Cage).
The car is owned and maintained by Habberstad BMW in Huntington Station.
This car is almost identical to the e46 M3 that Turner Motorsports built and raced at the SCCA Runoffs placing in 3rd in 2006.
No expenses were spared in building and maintaining this race car.
$27,000 in receipts at DEALER COST NOT INCLUDING LABOR.
Raced exclusively in SCCA Touring 2.
Valid SCCA Logbook.
Sunroof/Moonroof Deleted (New Roof Skin and Headliner).
This car was a road car that was converted into a race car and it has not been raced (or seen the track) in approximately 2-3 years. Most of the parts are new and/or refreshed. The car was inspected before and after every race by BMW master technicians. If anything needed to be replaced or refurbished, it was. No expenses were spared to make sure this race car was fast and reliable.
This car was never involved in any on track incidents and is stored in a climate controlled garage when not in use.
Has ~ 5 podiums in about 2 seasons (2 Second Place finishes)
59 second laps at Limerock.
2:12 at the Glen.

SCCA Touring 2 is a stock class so there is a lot of weight that can be removed from this car as can be seen in the pics. However, I have no idea how BMW CCA or NASA would classify this car as is.
