Finished week 5 day 4 of the 50 squats last night
185x12
185x12
185x10
185x10
185x6

This is getting rough. I love the program but I'm looking forward to a little more variation in my leg workouts so even if I don't fail in the next two weeks I'll probably try something different.

Maybe more of a let workout like this:

Back squats
135x15
185x10
225x5
185x10
135x15

Front Squats
3x5 maybe 185 or so. Not sure what I cna do now.

Dumbbell Lunges
3x10 each leg

Romanian Deadlifts
3x10 with 155 maybe

I think that should be enough leg work for one day. I'll probably start this in two weeks.

Weighted myself today after my morning pee/poop and shower (completely dry) and weight 177. I'm very happy with that but last week or so I was 174 so I'm sure I fluctuate a little from day to day.

I am booking a cruise for May 11th so I plan on continuing my eat like a monster plan until April 11th or so. I think a month of trying to cut belly fat may be ok for me since I didn't gain much. My plan for the cut would be a first thing in the AM 15 minutes HIIT run, slightly lower cals, and the same weight training I'm doing now with maybe 2 short metcons a week.

I did 50 reps of 225 lb. squats yesterday, and I swear that it kicked my ass more than my normal heavy squat routine. Maybe because the emphasis was endurance rather than brute strength.

....then 50 Power Cleans, 50 Chin-ups, and 40 Kettlebell swings with a 44 lb. KB. I am wrecked today!

I still want to see your clean form. I'm sure it's fine but always curious since it's so damn technical. I think mine is pretty good now but I have more to learn. I usually see people with either awesome form or downright terrible like I used to be.

Do you think my leg workout would be ok? I want to put some size on these things.

solly you are going to be able to go way heavier than 225 x 5 (unless you are saving energy for front squats?)

Funny enough, I was 177 this morning.

How come no calf work?

I don't know man. I hope I can but I'll see how it goes. I did get up to like 245x5 x3 so I should be able to do it without an issue. Maybe I'll do this monday. I dont know, I'd hate to spot the glight squat program if I can still get it but it makes it so I can't deadlift and I miss that. I have 2 months to try to put on as much size as I can.

And no calf work because I kind of see it as pointless sometimes. It wouldn't hurt though. I just don't see a lot of growth from people doing all these calf workouts.

I think you'll be surprised how light 245 feels after this squat program.. just a theory.

As someone who has very skinny calves there is not many ways to grow them. However you can definitely make them stronger / able to have more endurance. Really helps with athletic activities like sprinting etc

Oddly enough, the last couple of workouts that included PC's were without a partner (..or any familiar faces in the gym). I'll get a video asap! I don't stomp though. I try to get a lot of extension onto my toes to really blast the calves (..plus that's how I was taught).

I rarely do isolated calf work. Front squats and Power Cleans are enough to hit them well.

Sorry guys. My butt again on the forums again. Possible nsfw. I figured it was the best way to get full body without my junk showing up and to show full leg. We're all friends here right?
