You're right I should. I may not have a spotter tonight though. I'm hoping one will show up and I'll try for 5 reps of 180 or so instead of 10 at 150 or so. I'd absolutely love to do some spotted negatives at a really heavy weight though.

I think with relatively light weights that its not that important to do the full catch if you are trying to cycle through them quick. If I was doing this workout with 185 I would probably make more of an effort to do a full catch on each. For it to qualify as a good rep the elbows just need to pass through the vertical plane from the bar to the ground.

These shouldn't be for strength building, moreso for conditioning and muscular endurance.

What's scary is some of these crazy CF guys could probably do that workout just as fast with 205....

Do you think that's better in terms of strength building or does it not really matter?

he did mine.

Assaulted my legs today

21/15/9

Dead lift (135), air squats, wall balls

Then did 3x walking db lunges and calf raises

Walking down the stairs from the parking lot to my office felt weird, I can only imagine how it'll feel tomorrow. One thing that really helped with the wall balls was that I picked a different brick to hit each time I threw it up. It made a good distraction for the brain and the reps came really easily compared to when I did 50 and only hit the same brick each time.

god. I tend to shy away from things that are very similar back to back. That is a really good workout though. After this glight squat program this spring I am going to beat the sh1t out of my body. Lots sprinting, and outside workouts.

I'm definitely feeling it today, but I'm not Frankenstein. I'm probably going to imagine up some upper body stuff for today

So you could snatch it or clean and jerk it or Turkish get up? What else were people doing?

Yes. Everybody did snatch or C&J. I guess you could do Turkish, but if the idea is to do the highest number in two minutes, a Turkish doesn't help achieve that.

Yeah I wouldnt have thought anyone would, but I was just trying to think of other ways that people could get a KB overhead without swinging it.

What did you find to be more comfortable?

I do a lot of KB snatches but have just started doing more KB CJ. I like them.

I never really do them. I will try tonight. I have KBs of 36, 53, 70, 88, and 106. I dont think I can get the 106, but maybe the 88. I dont think the others would be a problem.

I have snatched and C+J'd all of them..... Got a little scary with the 106...

I recommend everyone reading this get a slamball. They are awesome. With all the gear I have I find myself going to that for conditioning work more than anything else.
