OEM projector shroud removal/install help

Just as the title says, how do I remove and install the projector shroud on the OEM E46 single xenon headlights? Do I need to remove the headlight from the car or can it be done without taking the headlight apart (aside from removing the lens of course)? Any help is appreciated.

You have to take the headlight off the car and take it apart.. There is a good diy video on youtube made by solidjake.

^jake, obviously the headlight has to come out. I just have to replace my shrouds. But doe the whole housing have to come out to remove the projector shroud, or can it be done wile everything is still somewhat together?

^ IMHO, it would be easier if you have projector frame out. You might scratch the lens or damage something trying to unlatch the shroud.

I wouldn't go crazy on it with a screwdriver. Lol.

I'll give it a few tugs, if it doesn't budge, I'll just go at it from the back.
