You just have to have your phone turned on. So lets say you charge your phone to 100%. The only way you'll get a reading is if you don't plug it back in, reboot, or respring (if you're jailbroken).

That's stupid. Usually I'll turn it off when not in use, so I guess I'll never get a reading from there

If you just sleep your phone you'll still get a reading

No. You just can't reset the phone (holding lock + home until it reboots) and still have the usage estimate. AFAIK it still works if you are just powering the device off and on.

Anyone get 6.1.2 today? I'm hoping it fixes my battery drain but I'm not expecting much. I've pretty much accepted my phones fate as a paper weight

Why not try it? And have you restored your phone/set it up as new?

But to answer your question, I did try it. Took it off the charger at 1530 and its at (checking)....100 still...but I've been let down so much before. If its still at 100 in like 2 hours (everything is off except wifi, no apps open and no SIM) then I'll be ecstatic |

That's not too bad. Just sitting there? It's certainly not 10% an hour... Last edited by Grande D; 02-19-2013 at 07:29 PM. |

Strange to see so many people with battery problems. Mine has been fine from the get go, and actually improved after jailbreaking 6.1, for whatever reason.

I did notice that after a while the battery on my iPhone 5 did seem to be degrading...then I went to the dark side and traded for a Note 2...don't worry I already have my flame suit on

Right, Samsung is the way to go if you're worried about QC.
