Just to give a brief update my car has been in my hands for a couple of weeks and all i can say is it's awesome!!! Mike & the crew at maximumpsi really have a great product to offer and their dedication to perfection is probably the highest I've seen of any shop. While my car isn't 100% yet it has performed excellent and will only make more power as there's some small things to sort out. I'll have some video footage this upcoming weekend as I'm racing the car in an HPDE event so look out for some nice updates coming soon!!

Thanks for the kind words Dexter! Look forward to seeing you today!

After we tested multiple exhaust housings, we found that the housing on Dexter's car is a restriction. He is currently running a .84 divided. We are going to a 1.15 AR divided exhaust housing to give Dexter the final revision of the kit. We saw no loss in spool with significant gains up top when we made this jump!

Here are some pictures of the new hardware revisions. Our boost creep issue with the older revision of the manifold has most defiantly opened the door to a better product.

Also some pictures from Dexter's install!

We hope to have Dexter's car sorted before shortly. I want to wait to post up any dyno results until we have the final kit installed.

I will post of a video of the car on the dyno once my video uploads. This thing sounds wicked with no exhaust!

Looks great Mike! How do you like welding the wastegate connection on the cast turbine housing?

Exhaust housing should be here tomorrow!

It is a much simpler solution rather than routing dual W/G ports off the manifold. It allows for ideal boost control even at the low boost levels that our stock motor kit runs. Being that the housing is cast, you have to follow a specific welding procedure in order to insure a strong weld.

Q: In its programming are there any options like tunes for Meth, Race fuel or E85?

to go along with this, what programming, if any, is in place as a failsafe? is there anything in that computer that would do something if say, for instance, a sharp boost spike occured?

The tune is good for 103 octane without changing anything, they are still currently working on other options like E85

AWESOME!

SO he (or anybody with this kit/tune) can run anywhere from pump 91 to Race fuel without having to flick on a button or hit a switch then that's great!

Non-oxygenated race gas has the same stoich as pump gas. There is no way for the ECU to detect octane, so that means that if you dump race gas in, its not going to make anymore power. There's no way for the ECU to add the timing that needed to get to MBT on race gas since there is no way for it to know whats in the tank.

A completely stock M3 can run 91 to 103 without changing anything as well.
