Front Creaking After Dropping Subframe for Motor Mount Replacement

I'm getting a low-speed creaking from the front of my 32xiT. It happens when crossing over dibs or drains or I can induce it with low-speed S-turns. It does not happen (that I can hear) at higher speeds and is indifferent to engine load or RPM's. It's definitely suspension.

I recently replaced my motor mounts which involved dropping the front subframe ( I ordered new bolts, but re-used my old ones until they come. I'm thinking it must be the subframe, since I was in there. The control arms have no noticeable play. The new bolts should come by the weekend. It could be the motor mounts (stock mounts torqued to stock specs), but I highly doubt it based on the symptoms.

Any clues?

Figured I'd answer my own thread. Finally got new subframe bolts and torqued them to spec. Problem solved. Moral of the story - replace the subframe bolts when dropping the subframe.

May I ask where you purchased the subframe bolts from?

Shes not your average grocery getter. This 2.5L of fury doesnt mess around.

5TFUUU, If one more person tells me to sell my car and buy an ///M Im going to light their family on fire and make them watch.

Don't get em from the dealership. They had to order them and told me they can only order packs of 5 for the back two bolts and they actually Made me pay for all of them instead of just stocking the rest!

Back two bolts were around 5.25 a pop, while the larger front two were around 9.25 each. Ended up spending 48 dollars on 7 screws.
