Why is it that this country believes...

Why is it that this country believes the way to fix laws that aren't enforced is to create more laws that they (the government) won't enforce either but rather places more restrictions on individuals?

It's extraordinarily hard to repeal a law. It's much easier to create a new law that gives you the power to do what you want and then just ignore the previous law.

Some of the time they do it to say they did something about XXX situation so they can look good to their constituents. That, and come reelection time, they can point to things they've done.

Let me get this straight... you created a thread asking a question for which you already knew the answer?

Thanks.

Laws, who needs them, all of them are but infringements on my freedoms.

Next time a law is broken or not properly enforced, get rid to the offending law.

Current gun control laws don't accomplish anything... And yet they push for more... in particular, they push to further regulate AR-15s which contribute to 3% of the violence annually....

So now only are they adding more laws that won't accomplish anything.. they're adding them in hopes of further regulating something that barely contributes to the problem.

In other words, politicians are asses
