Door Lock Actuator or GM5 Module?

Hi guys,

im experiencing problem with my Door Locking and Unlocking.
After extensive research, i can only narrow it down to a malfunctioning GM5 module, a bad door lock actuator, or both!

Im leaning towards a bad door lock actuator because...

1. With Remote Key - pressed once i can hear the driver door trying to unlock (making that lock and unlock sound) but the pin wont pop up. on the 2nd press, the passenger door unlock.

2. With all doors unlocked, if i press the Lock button on remote, all doors will lock.

3. Sitting in the car using the Central locking button, i can only do exactly the same as mentioned above.

If i can hear the actuator trying to unlock, but it cant, does it means that the actuator is malfunctioning? Then why does it able to Lock, but cant unlock? Does it indicate a malfunctioning GM5? or both?

Help is much appreciated.
Ultimately if both are faulty, then i have no choice but to replace both.
But it would be good to pinpoint and replace which ever 1st, to see if it resolve the problem

many thanks
meiji
