I really don't understand what you are reffering at when you say "phone's bluetooth nav", but...this unit has (as well as any other GPS enabled phone, OR any other stand alone GPS unit, OR any other OEM car navigation for that matter):
-GPS chip
-operating system / platform (WinCE, Android, Symbian, linux, etc...)
-GPS software based on correct platform, which is on microCD card
-GPS antenna

well that sucks. maybe i will wait for the next product then. because that is HUGE to me, i would rather just build in a tablet.

The usb obd2 is going to be in my way with it sticking out so far and now it will waste a USB when the unit only has 2

Basically I just wanted to know if it had the stand alone gps navigation which you said it does. Also, since it uses the navigation via sd card, Can you remove the sd card and put in your own sd card with music on it and play the music on the unit from the sd card or will removing the nav sd card make the navigation then not work?

You can purchase it from szenco directly. I just did this week. You just need to talk to them. They have not update their website.

Do these units work with my harmon kardon factory system or does it interfere with that at all?

Everyone using a usb obd2 to veiw torque at all times, how does it not get in your way when shifting?

Has anyone connected a usb camera to the android side for torque track recorder?


Also do widgets work on android?

Does anyone know how much the enco version is without the android features? I emailed szenco but still no response.

dude all of these units you keep looking at dont have android. so thats why they are sooo cheap.

the lowest you will find is like 560$ shipped for android 4.0 one

The unit has two SD card slots - one is used by "nav side" (WinCE or Android, depending on version) and the other is "radio side". Usually, people use nav side one for GPS software and the radio side one for music, videos etc. But, if you really really want that, you can use nav side for listening music. You can put (if you have storage space) nav software and music on one SD card. In any case you have to locate nav software executable and choose the correct path to it. The rest of the space you can use for music, in which case you need WinCE/Android music player app. I don't think a lot of people bother with that. Most use "radio side" and its respective SD card slot for MP3 files.

Last time I checked, bare price was $320 (no shipping, no paypal fees, no SD card with nav softaware, no backup camera, no fakra cable (if you need one), no customs tax (if you happen to have no luck)). Don't know about US, but shipping to Europe (tracked) is around $80, paypal fees are around 5% (?) (5% x $400 = $20), most of people opt for card with szenco's nav software (probably as a backup, just in case your favourite one doesnt work or you can't make it work) - $10. So, now we are talking $430.

Dont use the wince music player, sound quality sucks!,ce is really only for gps software, not many apps developed for wince now, it is too old

Im 99% sure that they are compatible with each other. not having that would be huge.

I have the HK installed in my 330cd and it works fine.

HOWEVER....

GPS works BUT you have to run through the settings EVERY TIME you start the app (iGo)

ANDROID works BUT it must be rooted, you need to KNOW HOW TO PLAY with Android because you"'ll need to change screen density, permissions, description to be able to install apps from the play store and framework.jar otherwise your GPS will have mph speed all the time, no matter what.

You will NEVER, EVER get any kind of support from the szenco guys, my unit came with a defective long fakra cable (1 wire cut and 1 wire in the wrong position) and the reply from them was "send it back to get $140 shipping costs and no we won't send you a replacement cable"....you're on your own

Bottom line is that if you know your way with android and with a soldering iron and you're not afraid to spend hours flashing things and tweaking them it's a product for you, if you're a "normal" customer then run away from szenco as fast as you can...

Sorry to be the bad guy telling you the reality of things but better be warned now than when it's too late....
