Prefacelift ZHPs don't exist.

Although the difference is small, I find the ZHP as a package to be worth it. The body kit alone would cost you as much as the premium. And IMO the 6-speed is a better transmission than the 5-speed (not exclusive to the ZHP, but it is exclusive to 03/2003+ 330s)

The RIGHT 18'' wheels...granted, they were not a part of a ZHP, but they were right, alright!

Seller probably just doesn't know the difference between a ZHP package and normal sport package. Nice looking car. BTW the wheels on that car were not part of the standard sport package but could be selected as a standalone optional extra. Mine came with them. Nice wheel, but a PIA to clean!

Well he doesn't mention ZSP or ZPP either for that matter. But he does state it has Performance, Sport and Premium "Packages".

I agree it's just a mistake and not trying to "scam" anyone.

He also says it has 18" M tires, which is just another mistake unless he means MICHELIN tires

Yes, "Scam" is a stretch as he was not selling it as a ZHP, but stating that it has a performance package is factually incorrect and that does raise eyebrows. I will certainly ask him later today (when I meet him for 1st time) what his "performance package" entails. I have never heard of BMW offering a "performance package" on an E46 that was not synonymous with ZHP; am I correct in assuming this is because there is no other performance package than the ZHP?

Last time I checked, ZHPs were selling for $5000-6000 more.
If the difference is small, are they really worth it?

ZHP is the internal code name used within BMWUSA for the "Performance Package", just as ZSP is the short name for the "Sport Package" and ZPP is the short code name for the "Premium Pacakge".
I'm sure he just made a mistake and is just selling a 330Ci with both ZSP and ZPP along with the optional accessory 18" wheels.
Check it out and hopefully you find a worthwhile car.
but informing him he doesn't have a more expensive Performance Package may allow you to wiggle down the price if it's a car worth buying.

Yeah...let's see, it doesn't have the right build date, wheels, exhaust, shifter, interior bits, steering wheel, body kit, transmission, or anything else. Pretty safe to say no.

$5-6K more is a little inflated in *most* cases. You have to account for the fact that pre-2004 cars are older and have more miles on them quite often.

If you price a comparable year, comparable mileage, comparable condition ZSP and ZHP, you'll see a few grand difference, give or take. Dealers tend to price ZHP's quite high.

Worth it? If you drive a ZSP then drive a ZHP, you will answer the question for yourself. I drive a 2003 330ci because it was as new as I could get without dipping into facelifted coupes which were an easy $3K+ more money. It's my daily driver and really wasn't worth it to me. If it was my only car, i'd be driving a ZHP, for sure.

it was only a $3,900 option when new. only those delusional owners of a Performance Package option would dream it should sell for $6,000 more than a similar 330-zsp.

it should not be that high.

when new it was a very good value, used not so much but still worthwhile.
