Solid,
Do you really need to take the headlight apart to put a projector in the low beam? I didn't think you did in your video.
Thanks!

EDIT: Just watched the portion in your video and figured it out. Thanks!

The V2's that I have are the same size so it didn't matter for me.

do you apply glue on the shroud and projector. ( centric ring to black area of projector) or the edges of the projector to the edges of halogen housing??

Personally I wouldn't, what I did was wrap a couple of layers of thin black electrical tape around the perimeter of the projector. This provides a snug fit for the shroud centric ring and is not permanent.

Personally I used the morimoto 3five ss's. They start up and achieve full brightness in about 5-7 seconds, and start up fine if the lights are already on when starting the engine.

I hear oem is the way to go though, not sure how much of an improvement the denso ballasts from TRS would be.

I have a 2003 325i with halogen headlights. After doing the retro fit is there any coding needed? Is it literally plug-n-play the wires from the mini morimoto projector into the halogen/car harness?

Last 7 of my VIN(if it helps): PD00993

Hey All,

So I have had my quads hooked up for a while now but the wiring isnt done properly and am getting around to fixing it this weekend. (This is super easy by the way to the people who dont want to do it themselves, you literally just need to know how to turn a screwdriver/socket).

Anyway, I have the projectors in my low beam (Outers) hooked up to my low beam wiring (9006-9006), and the projectors in my high beam (Inners) hooked up to my high beam wiring (9006-9006). Works simple enough, 2 projectors on with 'lights on' and 4 with high beam on.

As far as im concerned, the ideal set up would be:

Outers to Parker Wiring (1st turn of dial, dual projectors as OEM)
Inners to Low Beam Wiring (2nd turn of dial, quad projectors)
High Beam solendoid to High Beam Wiring.

This means:

9006 - (2825?)... adapter, or easier to splice wires together?
9006 - 9006... plug and play
Single wires to 9006...use T-Tap connectors.

Just thought I would run this buy anyone who has done it to point out any errors I have overlooked, as well as if anyone has used an adapter from the parker (2825?) to 9006 transformer output.

Cheers!!

I did this retrofit, but can't seem to figure out how to put the bulbs in. I know that sounds dumb, but the spring wants to bend when I try to install the bulb. Also the bulb is not sealed when installed. Where the three indentations are in the back of the projector where the three screws are, are wide open. Is this normal? Anyone have any pictures of the back of the projectors with the bulbs installed?

Cool, thanks! I see about the spring, but still can't see the bulb. It seems like there should be some sort of gasket to seal the base of the bulb. As it sits now, water, moisture and dirt can get in through the back.

Two questions should I go with 35 watt or 55 watt. Also does painting your high beam bowls make them completely useless I would assume so but I figured I'd ask. Thanks a lot

55w produces more heat and increases the likely hood that you will burn your wiring or your projector.
If you paint your highs with yellow tint you will be fine I believe, but something like flat black will ruin the output
