I don't worry too much about my weight but I think to meet my goals I need to get a little heavier that's why I am conscious of what the scale says.

Rohde, by standard BMI chart all guys who are advanced lifters are in the "overweight" category.... just something to think about. Not all pounds are the same
Indeed! Those standard charts don't account for muscle mass.

173 this morning. Been running a ton prepping for spring break end of this month and spartan race 4/27. You guys think too skinny. My wife's friend said I look scrawny. Now granted her husband is 6-3 with a big ole gut.

how tall are you again?

You are looking very thin and on the verge of being too skinny. This is where heavy weight training and a lot of clean calories would really help that.

5-11. Explain clean calories. How I eat more than I burn and don't get fat?

Basically your meats, veggies, good carbs like potatoes rice, olive oils, coconut oils, nuts, seeds etc.

That's the problem. Most people can't really gain muscle and lose fat at the same time but many people can maintain fat and gain muscle. I probably gained a little fat but I'm ok with that. If you want to get bigger you have to compromise a bit. I think a little more calories will help you.

I'm posting a guide I've been working on for a few days today.. Check it out. Great job man, i agree with solly and think you are at the point where you need to start lifting heavy. You don't look too skinny, but adding just 3-5 lbs of muscle would make you look a lot more "fit". If you continue to lose weight using your methods I think you might start losing noticeable strength/tissue
