The projector is removeable, but the mounting posts and pattern is going to be different. The Mini's were designed primarily to be 'through hole' mounted in place of a H4 or H7 bulb, no such reflector exists in our coupe.

See that album for some insight to the construction of the facelift headlights.

Just gonna go with umnitza. I want the FX-R's, it will have AE already installed and it will be a simple DIY for a superior product.

Here is a quick video on my drive home last night. Should give you an idea on what to expect.

Indeed, well spotted . See numerous drivers get confused which lane they eventually turn into.

Big intersection, hit the speed limit well before you exit the 'spaghetti' of roads.

To the non-Victorians this is the "spaghetti junction"

Not sure if you will be surprised or not, that is a OEM standard 35W setup.

Globes are OSRAM OSRAM 66240 SVS, which are ~4300K but will eventually shift to around 4800K. Ballasts are OEM Matsushita Gen 4's. 35W ballasts.

Any decent ballast(all OEM(Denso, Hella, Matsushita, Bosch etc.) and Morimoto's) are all rated at 35W output power. Differences in brightness with different ballasts will be negligible. The real difference between OEM and a quality aftermarket part is start up time(Denso and Matsushita ballasts get 100% brightness in about 3-5s).

The biggest single difference was the projector. My original install was using Morimoto 3Five 5000K bulbs which were $20 a piece. Blew the OEM setup right out of the spotlight.

looks really good mate. when looking at TRS i was going to go with the morimoto 5Five 5000k 50W HID kit, but now that im buying off umnitza ill go with their 50W 5000k kit. that will produce significantly more light whilst being just as focused in the FXR as the oem HID kit set up right?

Generally yes. See how you go with them. The 50W will produce more lumuns, however the FXR-3.0's have a fair bit more foreground light than some of the other projectors. Too much foreground will cause your eyes to adjust and thus hurt your distance vision. Sometimes there is 'too much light'.

35W with a decent projector is plenty bright enough. I can see my cutoff on a very well lit road as well.

If the FXR are what Umnitza say they use are the same as the TRS's, they are very sensitive to bulb alignment. Eitherway, you won't know till you put the bulbs in and test them to see how they go.

umnitza, i am ready to order the lights. i made an account on your site (twice now), when i go to login the next day with the CORRECT login details it doesnt work. i emailed you 48 hours ago and still no response. what do i have to do to be able to buy something off you. contact me soon, i dont want to have to go elsewhere as i like your products. for the record, im after the p46 facelift coupe projectors fitted with FXR-r's and 55W xenons in 4300k or 5000k (im unsure), with the $150 angel eyes, everything pre-installed and the headlight and foglight covers. i also want the projector fogs for mtecII with OEM D2S xenons (as thats the only option, what K rating are they?) with them pre installed.

its a solid order so i cant understand why it seems like you dont want my money.

Send them a message on fagnatics or create a new thread in the lighting section. They won't be monitoring this thread...

I was under the impression they would pre-wire the AE's to the parkers or something, is that not the point of the P46's?
